. . . is celebrated on September 7th this year. It was first celebrated in 1882 as a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.
This year, however, due to the recent lockdowns as a result of COVID-19, many small businesses have endured significant financial losses. This has resulted in increased tensions.
A few days ago, I stumbled across an advertisement for “Pause Politics.” Intrigued by this, I clicked on the advertisement displayed on my computer. “Pausing politics” is exactly what Americans need to do at this moment. I long for a future in which my fellow citizens will be able to put aside their differences at the end of the day and express thankfulness for their freedom and for America.
“Pause politics.” Enjoy the day!
