Independence Day - Thursday, July 4, 2024
Independence Day is celebrated on July 4 and is often known as the Fourth of July. It is the anniversary of the publication of the Declaration of Independence from Great Britain in 1776. It marks the anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration. The Congress, made up of delegates from the United States' original 13 colonies, unanimously approved the document that declared independence from Great Britain. However, twelve of the 13 colonies had approved a resolution calling for independence on July 2, 1776.
Independence Day in the United States is by far the most important national holiday of the year. In 1776 the United States of America was born. After years of extremely difficult fighting and war, the country began its existence as a peaceful country. This is why Independence Day is of such great importance for American people today. Without July 4th, there would be no America.
But today across the country Americans are set to celebrate July 4th with parades, barbecues, and red, white, and blue gear. WE are so grateful to be citizens of the "land of the free and home of the brave." We must do all we can to protect our blessed and loved country.
From The Voice Bible - 2 Corinthians 3:17
By 'the Lord' what I mean is the Spirit, and in any heart where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is liberty.
